I feel the need to explain everything that happened with me due to the car accident. I really want this to be the last accident in my life. If someone out there wants me to die, I prefer to die now. Now when I am no one and I have done almost nothing on this Earth. Now when I have just dreams and I have no power to make them true. Now when I do not love....But please don't take me after I will realise all of these things. After I will do all the things I want, after I will have the power to HELP people in need. Don't take me when I will find the love...

As I said, I prefer to die now or to live forever!

I couldn't sleep all that night before the accident and I do not know why. I was thinking about my plans...about my production company, about my NGO...and my PhD of course. I was thinking how to manage them...how to make meaningful projects with my NGO, great documentaries with my production company.....I was dreaming to teach at Uni as well. I was imagining my life between travelling around the World doing documentaries and participating at international conferences, giving speeches, helping people through my NGO....

I woke up happy and positive! That day I had so many things to do. I was listening to music, having a shower. I was dressing all in black... and even now I wonder why. I put no make up on my face, just a bit of perfume on my black dress. I didn't eat and I left home with a smile on my face.

I was not in a hurry. For the first time maybe.

I had an appointment at 9.30. I took the tube as always. When I arrived on the street, I didn't know where exactly the building I was looking for was located, so I asked many people, even a newspaper seller - no one knew. I was walking along the street for a while. A security guard man stopped me: "Miss, you are so beautiful!" I was smiled. " Can you help me to find the X building?" I asked. And he showed me...

It was wery close. I assured no car was coming from the left side. I crossed the first part of the road. I assured that no car was coming from the right side and I passed. ...or I intended to pass.

From here I remember nothing. I do not recall the moment when the car hit me. I realized that I was down on the street and I assumed that something happened. No pain, no fear. Just the smell of blood. I heard a lot of voices: "The ambulance is coming soon", "Try to not move her". I opened my eyes. I told them that I was ok: "I have no pain, I can talk, I can walk, I have an appointment in few minutes, so I need to go". They told me I was crazy. Anyways, I tried to get up. Two men helped me, holding my arms and my head. The taxi driver (I found out after that that a taxi hit me) gave me a lot of tissues to stop the bleeding from my head and my nose. I couldn't stop it..so I lied down on the taxi coach. After one minute I realized that I couldn't move. The pain was coming step by step. I felt pain everywhere, especially inside my brain and around my neck. I was feeling like thousands of needles were pushing inside my neck. Soon I realized I couldn't move my head.
The ambulance came. They put me something around my neck and moved me on the portable bed. I was lying down with my face up and I could see only lots of phones filming me and the clear sky. I was so so cold and I heard they were concerned because my blood pressure was getting low. "Hey, don't worry" , I whispered, "usually I have a very low blood pressure". They smiled and put a blanket on my body. In the ambulance there were two young men, thin and handsome. One of them held my hand all the time. Both were trying to keep me awake: "what's your name? How old are u? ...oh.....I nice , we are the same age, I am 26th too".

I do not remember if I said "thank you" to them when I arrived to the hospital.

Metz

Everyone told me I need to visit Metz - a small town in the North of France, close to Luxembourg. Here you are, finally I have arrived in this wonderful town. From the train station, the place didn't look so impressive, but as you go further in the centre of the town, you can see the whole beauty of the Saint Stephen Cathedral. The Cathedral is unique in the World as a union between two churches. But you can find many more informations about Metz if you press here . No need to put on my blog some informations that are already on internet, right? :P

Well, something you might not find on internet is : close to the Cathedral you can find some places with the best cakes you can ever eat!

Of course, people like there to go out for eating. At 7 o'clock in the evening, all restaurants and pizzerias were full. And the food is cheap (cheaper than Luxembourg - 7 euro a meal) and pretty good!

Another impressive thing I have found there is Metz loves arts. Everywhere you can see paintings on the walls or even on the fences, many exebitions, festivals, dance competitions, etc. Lovely to watch indeed!

I can sent this to you in private, but NO. I have nothing to hide. I want everyone to know about my feelings, about the love I have for you.

I remember many times when you hold my hand for the first time..and I told you "this means nothing".......now I can understand how much means that gesture! And I miss that gesture a lot. And if I would accept that gesture in that moment, maybe we would have more time spent together as lovers.....as tween souls....And I regret I was not enough wise to accept your hold.

And we were friends, the best frends possible. We spent a lot of time together...talking, watching movies, dancing (you are the best salasa dancer:p), cooking and eating together.....so wonderful moments! Tell you wat: I was feeling so good with you everytime! I like your company, I like how you behave, I like your story, I like your life, I like your friends, I like, I like, I like!

I want to make a documentary about you.

And I miss you so much! I spent with you the best time ever in my life, you really know to make me happy indeed! And I know you were happy with me too. Cause we are the same. Cause you can read into my eyes what I feel and what I think. And I can do this to you too. We are two people so similar who are comming from so different backgrounds, different countries, different religions, everything is different around us, but we are the same. Can you believe? Waw! This is incredible! And because of this I won't ever put you out from my life. Because you are my tween soul, my man, my baby.....

And i will love you all my life, no matter what will happen, what we will do and who we will marry with. You will be in my mind forever. Even I do not know to show this too well, hhaha, you know it is true, because you feel this. And you can read me, as you can read a book, isn't it?

And I will love everything you love and you will love: your nephews, your sister, in the future - your wife and your children. Because this love means. Because this is unconditional love! Because this is my love for u!

Esch-sur-Sûre

Actually, this place is a little villare (only wth 305 people) in Luxembourg, the second smallest village in the country.
So small, but so beautiful!

If you climb the ruins of the castle, you can see there an incredible view ! Forest, mountains, a very calm river (Sauer), peace and beauty! All of these things you can find them in Esch-sur-Sure.

When I first stepped in there, I had the impression I am into a nature paradise! This place is indeed made for painters, musicians or another type of artists! Here you can create. Here you can find your peace. Here you can make plans for the future. And I made plans for my future in there!

In the forest I have found some round yellow plums..very good to eat and I took a lot, hahhaah! I didn't eat for a long time forest fruits:)

Near to the castle ruins there is a good restaurant where you can eat traditional food and with only 12 euro you can have a very rich meal. From the hight of that restaurnat I saw the all willage surrounded by the Sauer river. So beautiful! I would be so happy to return in there someday....

PULA

It is a small town in northern Croatia that has kept the remains of Roman architecture and flavor of the Adriatic Sea. To get there you need to have only about 200 euros for the flight ticket and still 100 for the accommodation in any hostel. Me and my fellow trainees, we all have stayed at PULA Art Hostel with 15 euro per night. In general the prices are quite high, although one euro is worth seven Croatian Kuna. The restaurants are great and plentiful - one serving come from two people and cost between 40-60 kuna. You can eat all sorts of goodies: seafood, cevapcici (traditional food), salads of all kinds and the finest meats. I ate a super goodicecream with 30 kuna, hihi. In Pula are at least 12 beaches, but the word 'beach' is somehow inappropriate, as there are rocks and stones everywhere ... .. but the water is clear, blue and cool. It is beautiful to look at the panorama. To visit the center is full of monuments, buildings and historical sites: The Arena, The Triumphal Arch of the Sergii, The Temple of Augustus, the Forum, Hercules Gate, etc.

You can find more information here If you go there, please do not forget the lavender products (massage oil, bath oil, atomizers camera, etc., etc.) . Croatia is known for the best lavender plantations in the world. I bought a massage oil and body oil, both very consistent and with beautiful smell. In fact I was sorry that I have not bought much many.

Here we found a very good quality honey with walnuts, hazelnuts, peanuts and other ones inside. As a traditional drink, I tried slibobica, a sweet plum or pear liqueur, very good. People used to drink it after eating and as a desert they take some candied orange peel, cut into very thin strips.Another traditional dessert is smokveniak - a bar of fig and hazelnut. Brussels

I was there for the second time in a train station in Brussels. It is s station like a huge shopping center - specifically international railway station. Outside it was raining and the cold wind entered in my bones already . I don't want to go out for the town tour with my trainees form Luxembourg. But when you're in a group, you need to respect the group's rules, isn't it? And it is still raining outside. And I did not have any umbrella. So I 'sheltered' next to someone with the umbrella.
The first feeling I had was the 'I would not want to live here, but I'd like to revisit it and go for shopping' - that because prices are much lower than in Luxembourg. And yes, I got my leather gloves - two pairs from the centre of the city. I didn't bought chocolate though.... So I told to myself: 'don't worry, you will buy next time" .... For me 27 euro for a chocolate box it was a little bit too expensive, hahhaaha! When I'll be rich I can easily take a train to Bruxelles to buy Belgian chocolate.
The center of the town it is very nice. I learned that homes are cheaper here than on the outskirts or suburbs. Sitting in the center in Brussels is cheaper than sitting at the edge of town, hahha! I found out later why. Well, the richest people form the town moved out from their apartments in the center because they have built luxurious houses with all conditions in the suburbs. With car they can travel from one to another to side of the Bruxelles. Therefore, central apartments have remained empty. The rental or purchase prices have plummeted because the buildings are old and no elevator. Most students live in them now.
Brussels was a little Venice 100 years ago. There's a river Seine, which still exists today (but under the town). Now it is clear and hosts 12 goldfish. It was not always so. People used to throw garbage there, excrement and household wastes. Brussels was an outbreak of infection - which is another reason that rich families have left the center building and moved into their new houses in the suburbs.
But you can not say that you visited Brussels if you didn't drink a beer from Delirum café, where you can find over 2,500 varieties of beer. The place has a record related to the numerous variety of beers in the World! The owner had an idea to split it in three other small ideas and sold his vision. And he has sold it well .. I think I drank a beer there .. - even I do not drink ever beer -it is too bitter, hahahaha! (And I was pretty dizzy from that beer, hihi).
At night it's great to haunt the central bars. Each pub has a unique style, their flavour and personal policy to attract customers. Most of them have live evening concerts. I caught it on the Kiss & Drive singer singing a variety of indie songs, very original and with a very good voice. At one time she played with the typewriter! Really, you need to see it and wonder how she can compose the refrain for her songs on the stage!

A Belgian village

Ourthe 90

This village is situated at the Belgian border with Luxembourg. It is a small place, with big houses and an amazing view: green fields, blue sky and in the middle old thick trees.

More then half of the villagers live in renting accommodation and also most of them work without contract or do not work. The salary are quite small – a 15 years experienced teacher earns 1200 euro monthly. That’s why they are a bit jealous on people from the village who work at the EU organization and earn more than 2500 euro per month. For the EU employees is more convenient to rent a house (with at least 3, 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, etc.) in Ourthe , which is no more than 500 euro per month, and travel every day to Luxembourg where they work. Of course, to live in Luxembourg and rent a house, this will cost more than 1800 euro monthly.

In Ourthe it is silence most of the time, you can listen to the rain more often than to the people voicesJ And because I have talked about the rain, let’s talk a bit about the weather in this village as well. You can have four seasons in the same day here, haha! Now is raining (fast, strong and short) like in early autumn, after five seconds the sun is shining like in a very hot summer, after another 5 seconds it is so windy and cold..like in winter…

The first thing you will see when you enter in Ourthe it is the Primary School. Opposite to the Primary School, there is a big house at the number 90. You don’t have streets name in there because the place is too small. Well, at the Ourthe 90 I have found a man who is dealing with a kind of wood sculpture. His job is wonderful and I let you see a small part form his incredible work.

Three beautiful towns in Luxembourg

Vianden, Remich, Luxembourg

Last week I had a walk through these three so beautiful towns in Luxembourg. Shall I begin with the Capital? Yes of courseJ
Well, the capital of the Grand Duch de Luxembourg – Luxembourg- is an amazing town indeed. To describe it is so so difficult, even the pictures are less beautiful than the reality. You need to come in here and see with your own eyes, trust me! I will show you some pictures from the Grund..but there are a lot of another cute places in Luxembourg. If you come, please don’t miss: The bridge (Viaduct), the Casemantes, the Fortress, the city's Old Town, The Grand Ducal Palace, etc.

Don't forget to try those amazing cookies from Oberweis(http://www.oberweis.lu/) and those amazing chocolate from Schumacher (http://www.schumacher.lu/ ).

I love this town and I would love to build a family in here. In my opinion it is the perfect town for a family: parks, grass and trees everywhere, at school children learn 5 languages (because three languages are official languages in Luxembourg: Luxembourgish, French and German- and another two foreign languages –sic-) .There are many places to visit, you are close to Germany, France and Belgium…..just in 30 minutes you can cross the border!!!! You can find the best food, the best clothes, the best creams, medicines and medical treatments. You can have a luxury life in Luxembourg indeed and why not? You can be paid better than in any other European Country in here. It is also true that the life is a bit expensive , but why not? Again, for me it is the perfect town!
About Vianden I would love to talk at least half a day! Such a small, a green mountain town! You can travel with chair cable –four euro one way, visit the Vianden Castle (which is amazing)- 6 euro the entrance, have a nice trip into the forest – free, but be careful to not loose yourself!!, climb the small clifs, etc. The town is clean and well structured as a German town and has as well the romantic French atmosphere! People are nice and friendly (most of them they speak Luxemburgish and French).
In Remich you can see the river Moselle and have a cruise on it in a very big and beautiful ship. For two hours you will pay 15 euro. Also, you can buy food or drinks at normal prices in the country. You can visit the Vinoteca and see how the Luxemburgish people make the wine and Sapagne! -(5euro the entrance). Remich is a nice town, small and cute as well. Here come to visit mostly German and French people at the second and third age. But still nice to visit!

Adrian Furtuna is a 25 year old Roma man who lives and works in Bucharest.
In the movie, Adrian tells the story of his life. In order to achieve what he has today, Adrian had to overcome many challenges. Like many Roma children, he was born in a poor family and did not have good perspectives for his life. However, he was fortunate that his mother was a wise and strong woman. She earned little money by selling canvas and clothes, but she had large ambitions for her son and was determined to help him. He attended the University of Iasi and became one of the best students in his class of Sociology.
Therefore, in a way , Adrian’s success is a fulfillment of his mother’s dream. This shows that even though the woman is neglected in the Roma family, she has great power. In this case, the great influence of this power allowed her son to succeed. Everything that Adrian did in his life was inspired by his mother. She had a tremendous amount of faith in him. That is why the word ‘faith’ has been used in the title of the documentary.
Even though Adrian lives a modern lifestyle, he still adheres to some Roma traditions in his household. They have been instilled in him by his grandfather when he was young. Being the oldest man in the family, his grandfather got a lot of respect from everyone around. This respect for elders is characteristic of Roma families and it makes Adrian preserve his Roma identity. He shows that it is possible to retain that identity while living a modern lifestyle. This what the word ‘flame’ in the title of my documentary refers to. It could be said that Adrian carries the flame of his ancestors’ traditions into the future.
In this movie I have carried on three main aspects:
1.Roma history and Holocaust;
2.Roma people attendance to school like a minority;
3. Roma culture and identity.

Faith and Flame is a documentary against racism and pro equal opportunities.

Small, hidden, beautiful and mistery

Trier, Esch and Reading

Today I will share with you my impression on three small towns from three countries: Trier from Germany, Ash from Luxembourg and Reading from United Kingdom. All of them are beautiful and full of history , which I like most.
Let’s begin with the oldest German town, Trier. Just eight euro returning ticket from Luxembourg.Here I saw amazing buildings like :The Porta Nigra or Black Gate,The House of the Three Magi,St. Gangolf,St. George's Fountain,The Trier Cathedral, etc.

Also, Trier is good for shopping. Very cheap products are in here. Nice cloths, good brands, big discounts for everything. It is nearly impossible to go in Trier and return with empty handsJ. But don’t take too much money with you because you will spend them all. Actually, for this reason, I didn’t take my wallet with me … and finally I borrowed money from my trainees colleagues. And I didn’t regret: the dresses I have bought were so wonderful!
In Trier many couples made a custom to come in here. I met one of these couples who told me they are coming in here from their college ..and they liked so much and now they live their children home and come in here ..just for them…..feeling like they are teenagers againJ. Well, they were telling me how nice is for them to be again in Trier, and me, I was looking at the woman’s t-shirt which was transparent. I have noticed she didn’t wear a bra and I could see nearly clear her matures breasts and her brown nipples….

In Esch-sur-Alzette I didn’t stay too long. But for three euro returning ticket from Luxembourg, I can go there again. This is a small town (actually the second biggest town, after the capital)situated in Luxembourg. Ash is destinated for shopping as well. I have found in there a Rinascimento shop, wauuuuuu!!!!! In Ash you can find all the brands you want! Also, there are some interesting buildings as The national Museum of the Resistance, the Berwart tower,St. Joseph's church, the local theatre, the Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes, etc.

I need to say I liked so much this town indeed!

Last weekend I have visited Reading which is 25 minutes by train close to London (ten pounds returning ticket). Again: a small and cute town. There are so many cathedrals in a specific architecture, but the most interesting thing for me was the Furbury five stars hotel. It is a precious jewelry. Affordable prices but amazing treatment. Imposing architecture, good quality of everything inside there. I recommend Forbury to everyone. It is much better than many Londonese hotels indeed. It worth to come here and spend some incredible days, trust meJ. If you want to eat in a rustic place, go for ……….restaurant. It is cheap and good. Afterwards, you can have a drink in …………………………: in a calm and relaxing atmosphere :)
I would love to come again in all these towns one day :)

The first Uruguay singer I have ever seen : Victoria Gomez Sole

The life is so amazing and inprevisible, isn’t it? I met Victoria for the first time at the “Centre Culturel de Rencontre Abbaye Neumunster” in Luxembourg. I didn’t listen her songs because I came too late…Even though, I was interested in finding out who is this singer girl called Victoria.

We have the same name and I was wondering if it can be possible we to have more things in common. And here you are: I met a very sociable, smiling and happy girl, with a kind of sincere politeness for any people she was talking with. I need to say also that Victoria is enough tall and beautiful to attract people and be a famous singer in the nearest future. I love what she is doing (I mean singing and writing her own songs) and as far as I understood she likes what I am doing (let’s say having a media activity:P).

After this I was wondering how come her sister looks so different than her ….my sister is so different than me as well…..

And after this I was so busy with my conferences and my projects….Finally yesterday I was listening her songs.

Amazing voice indeed! Beautiful songs as well.

She has the power to become a famous singer and I would love to met her after some years….she being a big singer in the world and me being a very famous film producer, journalist, professor, writer, painter, business women, president..who knows, hahha!//???!!

Easter time in Luxembourg

Easter time

Another Easter away from my family. Another Easter without our traditional Easter bread, red eggs, pasca, cozonac, sarmale and drob:P Of course you don’t know what these all are, hhaha! Sometime I ask myself if I feel I miss these things….sometime I answer to myself that I can survive without…..
But this traditions are just traditions?
Last year I have cooked a Easter dinner….this year I have not even a kitchen to cook…but I will survive, hahah! We have replaced the traditional Easter dinner inside home with a Mexican dinner out there in the town. I was drinking Sangria (a kind of fruit wine) and I was eaten a lot of unknown and spicy things) .

Yesterday me and the other trainees have planned to go to a Greek church…..we didn’t find it and we have eaten our colored eggs in front of a closed cathedral. We broke the egg one to another, we put a wish and we struggled to ate the whole egg (otherwise the wish wouldn’t come true:P ). After this we have arrived in a pub. Haahahaha…we were about to go in a church and we have arrived in a place for drinking and dancing. J)))). It was the first time in my life when during the Easter night I went to a pub.

Usually during holyday (Easter or Christmas) I was home with my parents and my sister…doing nothing, eating a lot, watching TV….But this Easter I went out a lot. First, visiting Trier ( the oldest German town), then going to some pubs, then having picnic in a very green park, then another pubs, then dinner out and again pubs, tomorrow we will visit Metz ( a town in France), and so on.

And if I think I have chosen to stay here and not go in Romania just because I need do a lot of things like to prepare my speech for my conference in May, to finish my tasks for my job, to write an article for the conference book, to prepare for EPSO exam, to think deeply at my future and what to do……cause I want so much a PhD ….Well, I didn’t do ANY of these things…..:(Shame on me indeed!
I will try to do something today. Promise.

First day at European Commission, the Publications Office - TED

It was so hard to woke up and be present at the Drosbach Building to meet Mrs Jeanne Guth who welcomed all the trainees into the EC world. After I presented all my documents (stuffs like degree transcripts, medical certificate, identity card, contract, end so on), madam Jeanne introduced me with all the information it was planned to be found out about what I will do, who will be my tutor, where to go for my badge, with whom to talk when I will arrive in the building where I will work, what events will be organized for trainers, etc. In the end she wished me a good luck with a warm smile on her face, she recommended if I will enjoy the work in there, to apply for a job at EC and she ended with: “vous etes tres simpatique” which gave me a bit more self confidence.

She explained where to go after and I take the bus (because in the morning I have taken a taxi which asked me to pay 18 euro for 6 minutes travelling), I paid 1,50 euro and I arrived at Jeanne Monet building, at the Security Department where I made my bedge. Of course they didn’t write my name correctly and for three days (until I have received another bedge) I was Vitoria Baltag instead of ViCtoria Baltag. Funny, I didn’t feel good at all with that new name..and I wanted so much to be again VICTORIA!

Anyway….after this I had my lunch in the same building at the European Commission cantine and I paid for a bit of meat and vegetables, 8 euro. Be sure I have told them I am trainee in there and I have a lunch discount….some days after I found out that the discount is ONLY for the “plait du jour” .

At three o’clock I was present at Mercier Building. There I was welcomed by madam ....................(a very clever and friendly German lady), Mr Kunzler introduced me with the people from the Department. I have noticed that there are two Romanians girls already (Smaranda – who is Moldavian as me, and Anca from Bucharest) In the same dau I met Alina as well - all of these three Romanian girls are wonderfull, with an amazing soul indeed (Smaranda and Alina helped me a lot....).

Also I met my tutor, Mr Fernandez. He introduced me with the TED (The Tender Daily Unit) website, he gave my tasks and he allowed me to get used with the program and adapt myself. Maybe Mr Fernandez (who is so modest and always tell me to call him on his first name) is imagining I am a very lazy girl…this because I didn’t do too much these days. But I promise you will be proud of me in the end! This is my working style…step by step….maybe I am not efficient enough with this style..who knows?:)))

In the end of the day I have arrived in my new office and I met my new colleague, Mr Tibor. Both us want to practice on French language…so we struggle every day talking a bit of French.

Cambridge...

- Oh...so you have been in Cambridge...

- Yes...last week actually.

- I suppose it was nice...I didn't visit Cambridge yet. Just Oxford.

-And how Oxford was to you?

- Oh....it is like a museum.

- The same is Cambridge.

....But it wasn't like a museum.

The town is now industrialized......many companies have their main office here. A lot of cars, a huge number of bicycles! Very expensive conditions of living:most of the students share a bedroom with another roommate. Everything is business here, even the education. Apart the University of Cambridge, there are some more universities with a huge number of students; when they come in Cambridge, most of them think they will study at Cambridge University..after some month they realize the truth...This is because of the confusion made by the recruiting agencies who put too less information for the student. Let's take into account that the student comes from India, China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Chile, etc. , countries where the information is not so easy to find out.

I saw sad faces in Cambridge....people on their bicycles.....depressive students....

I heard the beauty of the religious songs from the College's Chapel and I heard the beauty of the silence in a long Sunday evening....

I admired the amazing architecture from the whole University of Cambridge and from the old cathedrals.....

Weoley Castle

Although referred to as a castle, Weoley was a mediaval manor house, once surrounded by a wide, water filled moat.

The building dates from 1270s when the Lords of Dudley, Roger de Somery were given permission by the King to build and fortify their castle in stone. Because it is located in a valley, the building did not have a keep or the defensive position required by a castle. However, the Dudley barony enjoyed into a great construction with private rooms for the lords and ladies, a kitchen with a large fireplace for cooking, an impressive great hall, towers and an imposing gatehouse. The family had their own chapel and stable range with lodging rooms above.

There are no to many information about the social life at the Weoley Castle. It was eventually owned by Joan de Botetourt who inherited by marriage and used Weoley as her main residence and home. After her death the castle changed hands numerous times in legal dispute over inheritance. By 1485 it was in the ownership of William Berkeley who lost the castle at the Battle of Bosworth where he fought for Richard III. In 1531 the castle and surrounding land was sold by the Dudleys to a wealthy cloth merchant called Richard Jervoise. He never lived here but he biult a more confortable home nearby in Northfield.

In the 18th Century a farmhouse was built beside the moat but the area remained rural until Mr Ledsam, the then owner, sold the land in 1930.

Now the place is a ruin and many archaeologists uncovered a rich collection of finds. These objects ilustrate the welth and lifestyle of the people that lived and worked at Weoley Castle.

Surrounded by beautiful fields and hills, Weoley Castle is almost unknown; event the neighbours from Selly Oak don't know too much details about it.Anyway, if you live or visit Birmingham, you should see Weoley.....

I used to love to receive presents. I used to love to open beautiful boxes and see what is it inside.... But last year I didn't even dare to dream about it....who will give me a gift ....? A beautiful gift into a small and precious box? hm....I love the small beautifull boxes :) This because the small box is the best! hihihi

Lately I received many gift boxes...very nice packaged. It is unbelievable! And because for me it is incredibly and I didn't imagine this either in my dreams...I want to put here all the beautiful boxes (some offered, some received:P).

The most beautiful is that little bear. I love to kiss and hug him:) He is in a very safe place now, near to the person I love.

I am waiting for another favorite present who is comming from very far away into a smal box as well. I can't wait to receive it!

I am so so happy and I can't believe this is happening to me!

The most beautiful restaurants in Birmingham

Today I will tell you about some nice places to eat in Birmingham.

First.....let's see the Chinese food. You can find it in the Chinese Area (near to City Center) or in Five Ways.
Eat as much as you can and pay maybe 12 -20 pounds per person. There I saw for the first time how can I boil my own food in a bowl just in front of me. Or how can I fry my meet on my own grill.

Second, I will show you one of the most beautiful Indian Restaurants. It is called Akhbar (the website can be found here).

The architecture, the beauty on the walls, even though the waiters wo are so friendly (who can also sing a beautiful song for you)...everything made me think I should come there for the next time!

And the third, but not the last restaurant is called Shiraz (the adress can be found here ).

It is an amazing Iranian restaurant, so small and so cute, like a treasure! There I have found the most beautiful thea cups, amazing paintings, natural flowers on the table (in the day I was there they had have tulips - my favouride flower), and a beautiful Russian waitress:P

Charity Salsa Ball - the beauty of the dance

One of the most important event organized by Dance Club Latino (University of Birmingham) in association with Latin Motion

The whole event was definitely a success. What more can you expect from a single day: dance workshops, latino dance competition (University of Nottingham- first prize, Univeristy of Warwick - prize for Choreography and Musicality, University of Birmingham - second prize), Black Tie Ball with Robin del Castillo concert, raffle tickets (with amazing surprises:P), Argentine Tango performance (with Loyd and Sandra Gallo Ciego), Dj Mauricio Reyez , dance, dance, a lot of dace:P....latino movement of course:)

The beauty of the dance and the charity were mixed together at this great event, in the Santa Claus' month, now when we like to party and to share eachother presents. The moment chosen for this Ball was perfect and the time opportunity for the charity as well. Maybe for the next year the organizers would be able to contact some companies to sponsor the entire event and also to rise the charity amount.

There are not so many events like this in Europe, but the idea is genius (Jonny Driscoll's idea- the main hardworking organizer). Let's hope, why not..maybe next year Birmingham will open it's doors to dancers from all over the Europe, not only from all over the country:P

LEGISLATIONS IN EUROPE AND FRANCE ABOUT RROMA PEOPLE

Since the end of the World War II, anti-Roma laws emerged in each country of Europe, apart from Spain, legal discrimination was developed. The vagueness of the term Roma is due to the lack of legal definition established in France as in the Union. Talking about legal racism with inequalities where Roma are the victims. The widespread stereotypes of attitude, for example 77% of respondents in the 27 of EU member countries consider that belonging to the Roma minority is a disadvantage in the society (poll made INSEE, September 2010), is not difficult to quickly drift to discrimination, including from State authorities. Even if they are present in many European countries, Roma have generally the nationality of a Member State (Romania, Bulgaria, Spain, Slovak Republic…). This allows them access to citizenship since the Maastricht Treaty of 1992, and obviously the right to move and reside freely in every country of the EU; the right to have a job, to health, education, and eligibility. But we should admit that Roma are the victims of political discriminations. Since the adoption in 1997 of Article 13 of Treaty of Amsterdam, member states are obliged to take measures against racial discrimination. When they do not, the European Court of Human Rights can call them to order. Thus, the European Parliament is trying to solve the ‘Roma Affair’, but Union’s actions seem inadequate, and insufficient to remedy the weak legal situation of Roma people (‘L’express’ C.Barbier, September 2010).
In France, there are some transitional measures against Roma people, that is to say Bulgarians and Romanians are not able to have a legal job. In brief, when a Roma comes to France, they have three months to find a job, to pretend to the ‘Sécurité sociale’; which is the health care system. Basically, European Roma are excluded from the French labour market. Today, Romanians and Bulgarians cannot work because all conditions exist to discourage employers of goodwill who want to hire them legally. This includes the so-called ‘150 jobs open to Europeans’. (Collectif des Droits de L’Homme Romeurope, December 2008) For instance, a fee of 900euros to the ANAEM (National Agency of Foreigners and Migrations) is required or a huge and difficult file to fill with no guarantees for a job and six months of waiting.

I am wondering how come everything is happening or is not happening ....

It's about fate or it's about our desire?

When I was going in Dublin for the first time, I was looking out of the window the entire jurney.

For the first time maybe I was so careful with what I see from the plane. "But only clouds!!??!!" you would say. Yes, it's true. Clouds. Amazing clouds.

I first time compared them with the desert sand....then with the wool, a lot of white and grey wool, soft and fluffy:P

I was thinking how people feel when they falling down from the plaine. How feel when they know they have a parachute and falling down; how they feel when is no parachute and they will die. Can you touch the clouds? How many minutes can you realise you are falling down until you will have a heart attack? And I was thinking of death...

From Birmingham to Dublin....all the time looking out of the window...taking pictures....thinking...

"- Are you for the first time by plaine, dont't you?" A handsome young man asked me suddenly.

"-Yes, indeed..."-I replied, even wasn't true.

Shakespeare town

When I was for the first time in Stratford Upon Avon, I had a strange feeling. First, I was expecting to see an impressive town, even small. Actually, Stratford Upon Avon it was a perfect place to begin a family bussiness. People used to sell there a lot of things, like cookies, alcoholic drinks, hand made cloths, furniture, spoons, forks and knifs ( first from wood and then from metal), etc.

Shakespeare family has a business too - they used to sell leather hand made gloves. In that perioud of time (the XVI century) to wear gloves it was a must have. So, the price increased more and more. Otherwise, the gloves making was a very harsh job and the child William tried to escape every time from this work.
The most amazing thing for me was the way they used to sleep there. To have a bed it was a real luxury. Only the mother and the father had the right to sleep in a bed . This was because it cost like a half price house in that time - a fortune. Only the reach people could afford a bed in their house. And Shakespeare's parents used to have it.

All the children, house keepers and another relatives they have to sleep on the floor, using a carpet made fom corn leaves. No pillow, no blanket, just a piece of canvas to cover their body. And they used to sleep like this.

What else can you visit in the Stratford Upon Avon? You can see the Butterfly Farm or you can have a romantic boat ride on the Avon River.

Dublin

When I came for the first time in Dublin I realised something there will atract me to come again. The beauty and the sadness, both encouraged me to walk and see as much as I can.

This land is blessed. After the Great Hunger,after so many wars,even though a lot of them died or some of them have emigrated abroad (in Australia, SUA, etc.), Irland has been reborn like Pheonix bird.

You can see this on the Irish people face, you can feel this in their soul, you can imagine this when they treat you so kind and polite.

I love Irish people. They have an amazing heart, an impressive history, a divine power.More than this, everything they have there was their work. They never colonized someone, like English (for example). They never ask another countries to pay tribute for them, they never take money, food or another type of goods by force from another countries. All they have is their, with their work and their resources.

Sutton Park

Covering an area of 2,400 acres, is one of the largest park in West Midlands, United Kingdom. This amazing natural reservation can offer you two days of walking, seeing wild pony, cows, birds, pools, ancient trees, rabbits,squirrels. If you want to play golf you can find there one Golf Links and one Golf Course. Also, there is a Aircraft Flying Field and a good restaurant in the middle of the woodland! How can you find all of these? Simply enter on their web: Sutton Park, or go there and ask the information to the Visitor Centre.

A lot of people come here: students, parents with their children, walking men with their dogs,jogging vomen, lovers.

I heard in the forest a strange song...some people were doing chanting.

London Tower and the cruise on Thames

This Tower was more a prison than a place for King. A lot of prisoners had been kept there. Some of them died in painfull tortures, some of them had a lot of freedom, even they were in prison. It is a cold and empty building, no furniture, no beautiful things inside. But, if you are interesed in Royal Crowns, you can find there one of the most famous collection in the world! Also, there is an exhibition with fight armour, horses and guns. Nice to see these things, but more than two hours there will be boring:)

So, you can go for lunch after. There are a lot of places for eating, very cheap and very fast:) With 12 pounds two persons can eat:)

And finally, the cruise on Thames! Yessss! The most important buildings in London can be watched there! Relaxing ...only for 10 pounds! :)

RROMA, TRAVELLERS ACROSS EUROPE

‘Roma people are condemned to vagrancy’ (Turine, 2004). We are now talking Roma who come from Eastern Europe, especially Romania, Hungary, and Bulgaria, to go to Western Europe. They have got the feeling of an economic El-Dorado in the West, or a better life, in the sense of freedom and integration, according to Ron Stauber in ‘The Roma: a minority in Europe’ (2007). Therefore, they are the biggest minority trans-national in Europe (LeMonde.fr, 2010). They faced problems of integration in Western Europe, and problems of segregation in Eastern Europe. In Europe, there are 12 million of Roma; 5 million of them are travelling across borders (Henriette Asseo, 2010) as they are considered as stateless people.
Some of them continue to live their nomad life, but many of them have adopted a sedentary system because of economic reasons. Moreover, in Eastern Europe, they often live in marginal communities with high level of unemployment. In 2008, the Romanian Minister of Foreign Affairs declared ‘I want to buy a part of the desert to put every Roma in it’. The integration level of them is variable, for example the Romanian government recognized only 500 000 Roma, even if they are 2, 5 million in this country. In fact every country of oriental Europe admit they have got some problems with the integration of Roma people, and even if they are trying at a political level to resolve it; for example, in 2005 seven countries of the ex-URSS declared ‘the decade of Roma’s integration’ to ameliorate the socio-economic conditions of the Roma minority, which have been adopted by in 2008 in the European Parliament- they still continue to leave those countries. Furthermore, Hungarian society, including the liberal left, must recognize that it has a problem of cohabitation with the Roma minority and the rise of the Jobbik (far-right party) emphasizes the rejection and proposed to create a special police unity Anti-Roma.
In France, each year 250 000 people from every part of the world arrived illegally, 15 000 were Roma. Now they are 500 000 Roma’s in France, who live in camps (Minister of Immigration, 2010). According to the magazine ‘Courrier International’ (number 997) ‘No path helps to leave ghetto-village’, effectively, right words were used. When they arrived in the Country of the Human Rights, they gathered in improvised villages in suburbs, for example in ‘Seine-Saint-Denis’ near the’ Stade de France’. In fact 85-90% of Roma’s who live in France are sedentary, because those who left Eastern Europe were already in houses for generations (Minister of Immigration, 2010). An imbalance was created between French people and them. The result is that they cannot afford to have a legal job, forcing illegal ways to provide for one’s family, and everyone is involved. Begging for women and children, prostitution for young girls and boys (for example in front of the ‘Gare du Nord’ in Paris) traffic and thefts for everyone are their jobs. To make money, they developed a very well-organized structure, like a business society. Obviously, those practices are not well appreciated in France, and encouraged the development of racism and segregation. Furthermore the fact to have neighbours who spend their life in insalubrity and who do not speak the same language, slow down friendship.

This town amazed me with his original architecture, old buildings, romantic river,Roman Spa,Abbey Cathedral, african food, peaceful cemeteryes, nice birds, interesting instruments players, nice and smiling people.And..surprise!!! in The Abbey Cathedral I found some traditional Romanian Easter Egs! hhahaa

I love this town and I can't wait to see it again!

For the first time in my life I visited a British Cemetery..I saw there a very little bird.....little and so loveable!

Where is bath Spa? Near to Bristol. From Birmingham to there it takes 2 hours, 36 pounds with student realcard:) You can find more information about this town here

Warwick Castle

It is the first castle I have seen in my life in United Kingdom, but amazing!!!!!!!!!!
I recomend to anyone to visit it! With 19 pounds you can easily visit the all castle, but for this you need at least three-four hours! To be honest, for me it took longer: two days, hhaha! I loved so much this place and I came two times!

In the castle, you can be shooked seeing some torture things for that medieval perioud! I found that it was no low there for protect the prisoniers, so, they could do everything they want!!!!!!!!!!!!!Aufull!!!

In the Great Hall you can see where the Quin Budoir is, or where the King had the parties or dinners. The atmospheare is like in medieval perioud: music, actors dressed in medieval out fit, wax people with medieval figure, amazing paintings, guns and war aromour, etc.

Outside, a beautiful garden, ancient trees (very big and a lot of different species) and cute peacocks!

If you come with your child, you can have a special programm for him as well.

Don't forget the castle Restaurant: you can feel like a Quen eating there, hahha! (And is not expesive at all: meal, drink and dessert, all no more than 11 pounds!)

I have never seen in my life so many people to a soccer game singing and clapping, standing up all the play, supporting their team!

Amazing!

For those people you should do the best and win! And they won...with Juventus, after with Wolfsburg....they qulified in final for the first time in history!

It was a pleasure to see them playing! A very good team, a very good playing strategy!

Miss so much Romania

Well.....I was last days to Romania for my dissertation! Now I have a master in International Management and Marketing....wauuu! Good mark, good memories! So...now i do not have any occasion to go again in Bucharest! I will stay here, finishing my MA in Film, Hystory and Television...!

After this.....I take my PhD, a traineeship as well.....but I intend to do in the same time something alce....like painting, dancing, fashion creating, etc.

So, in Bucharest was amazing. I met with my classmates from high school, with my undergraduate classmates, with my master classmates as well! I was to skating (I love skating!!!!!!!!!!), walking in park with Teo....(so nice and romantic):)..than met with Toma (a very clever boy - he knows Japonese, he spiks English like a native Englishman, now he is studying Russian language..wau....and he likes politics, hihi)

Why I love so much Romania? Because this country is indeed beautiful, with kind people! Every time when I return to Romania I am so happy!

For the first time I went to Getwick Airport with London Tube and Train.

I wished so much to built-up a big snowman this year! But never was snowing enogh! And I prayed: "God, please give to me some snow because I want so much to have a snowman this winter!"

After my prayer I waited. One day, two days, one week, one month!
Yesterday was snowing so beautiful!!!!!!!!!! And I could make a snowman! My wish become true! I was so happy!

But...you know...for making a snowman...the snow should be smooth and a little bit melty...when the snow is frozen, like today for example, it is imposible to built up a snowman or another snow sculpture:)

Why people like to lie so much? Why do you like to promise me a lot of things and you do not keep your promise? Why do you promise? For fun? I can't understant even I do not have trust in you, I accepted to promise me something. Sometimes you forget to think...and I forget to think that I don't have trust in you. I forget....because I am blind with your love. When I am with you, I forget everything. Really. Only I remember that I love you...

First said:
- I am Silence. Nowadays people have forgotten that I can be part of thair lives...
And the flame decreased increasingly more and more and after this, died.
Than the second one spoke:
- I am Faith. People say that they cand leave very well without me, I'm afraid that it is not much poin to burn anymore...
After she finished talking, she died.
- I am Love, the third one said.I do not have enough power to burn, people give me a hand as a fillip. They forget to love them even on the most important person from their life... A genle breeze passing near it and extenguished it unwittingly.

Because I have at home true friends that love me. Because they think about me every time. Because they give me advices, they encourage me every moment when I feel that I can't do something... I am so grateful because I have this kind of friends, I am so thankful that they think of me when I think of them, I am blest that they are close to me when I need them, that they help me when I need help, that they advice me when I need advices, that they love me when I need love...and I need love every time!

Yesterday was snowing! So beautiful! I plane to make a big snowman!!!!!!!!!!! But today is warm and all the snow desappeared! I want to make a snowman this winter! I want so much! And I will, I am sure about this!

Well, it is a real pleasure to cook! When I came for the first time in Birmingham, I prepared pancakes with chocolate and valilla cream! Now I cook for all my housemates, they enjoyed every time when I cook something, really! Today I have something speciall: boeuf salad,stuffed eggs, rice with chicken legs,vegetable soup and pancakes!

All this day I was speaking Romanian language.....hmm, again! In this style I won't learn English anymore. But I was to New Street and I brought a very good grammar and spelling English book. Tomorrow I will begin to learn from it, I promisse:)

So....for next week I must to finish three essays: one about the Social Structure from Eastern Europe (this is for my Management and Marketing Master program), another about my TV Proposal (this is for my "Film, History and Television Master) and the last one is a project for a competition! Hm..I hope that I will finish them all on time!

Today I was talking with my sister...and I said her that I want to speak in English because I must improve my language....so..I have spoken to her in English and she has spoken to me in Romanian language..hahhah, it was so funny!
